At the last meeting of Llanddewi Velfrey Village Hall, plans were finalised for the 50th birthday celebration of the offical opening of the hall. This came after years of fund-raising and a great deal of voluntary hard work by a team of able-bodied local people, who spent days and evenings turning their hands to many skills. To celebrate this very important event in the history of the village, the committee have arranged a concert for Friday, November 19. The concert will be provided by the ever-popular children's choir, 'The Little Landskers' and instrumentalists, conducted by Mrs. Shirley Williams and accompanied by Mrs. Eryl Thomas. The supporting artist will be well-known entertainer, Mr. Dennis Reed, of New Hedges. Tickets are available from committee members and also at Preseli Shop. The concert will be followed by a cup of tea or coffee and will give the audience and a chance to reminisce over the last half century.
