John and Heather Howell, of Narberth, celebrate their golden wedding anniversary today (Friday).
The couple met over 54 years ago at a dance in the Queen's Hall in Narberth and have been inseparable ever since.
John, a native of Narberth, was born and spent his childhood in East Atheston Farm. He spent his working life working in various farms throughout Pembrokeshire as a much respected herdsman.
Heather was born in Manorbier Newton and spent over 30 years as a home carer through which she developed several lifelong friendships.
The couple married at St. James' Church, Manorbier, in April 1964.
They have a son Richard, daughter-in-law Rhian and grandson Jordan.
John and Heather, who are both now retired, enjoy spending their free time supporting local cricket, football and rugby teams in Narberth.
They are life members of Narberth Cricket Club in recognition of their fundraising activities for the club.
John and Heather will be celebrating their anniversary with family and friends.
