A one-day goalkeeping workshop will be held at Haverfordwest County FC's training ground at Bridge Meadow on Sunday, June 30, from 10 am until 3 pm.
This event will be for goalkeepers aged between eight and 16, and is aimed at watching them in practice sessions, and then offering advice to correct faults and to improve performance, within a better understanding of the role of the goalkeeper in the modern game.
The coaching programme will be under the direction of Bernard Steer (England FA coaching certificate and UEFA goalkeeping award) and based on a recent workshop held by Ray Clements (England goalkeeper coach) and Martin Thomas (England assistant goalkeeper coach).
Full kit will be required for drills, practices and small games. Demonstrations and assistance in the programme will be given by Carl Woodhouse (Haverfordwest County League of Wales goalkeeper) and Jimmy James (Swansea City Academy and Welsh Schools under 18s goalkeeper).
The cost will be £10.
