The day course in goalkeeper skills training went ahead in Tenby on Wednesday, July 25, despite of the threat of heavy rain. Nine promising young goalkeepers worked hard in the morning session on fitness, shot stopping, throwing and kicking, under the supervision of coach Bernard Steer. In the afternoon, all of the goalkeepers took their places in a 'World Cup' competition, also held at The Clicketts, Tenby, giving them a chance to win some medals, and to test their skills in match situations with players of their own age as part of a holiday soccer scheme. All the goalkeepers received a course attendance certificate, with Will Davies (top shot stopper), Aron Altman (most match clean sheets) and Thomas Miller (most effort) getting special awards.
