A one-day course for junior goalkeepers was attended by 15 players from across the whole of Pembrokeshire, with the ages ranging from seven to 13.
A programme including warm-ups, handling, throwing, and kicking was adapted to suit abilities, and the spirit amongst the goalkeepers was excellent. This included competitive activities to bring the four-hour course to an exciting conclusion.
Director of coaching, Bernard Steer, handed out attendance certificates to all the participants and medals to the competition winners - George Macbeth (shot stopping/throwing/ and kicking), Noah Richards (throwing), Harry Vickery (kicking) and Jack Ackerman and Harry Vickery (shot stopping).
A further course is planned for the Christmas school holidays.
