FOOD lovers in Pembrokeshire are being encouraged to give game cookery a go at a special masterclass evening in January. The event, which is being hosted by Welsh celebrity chef Angela Gray, will feature a range of game recipes as well as tips on where to source game and how to prepare it. Angela will also be chatting about her experiences as a chef for a Belgian count and cooking for his shooting parties. 'Go for Game' will be held at the Merlin Theatre in Pembrokeshire College, Haverfordwest, on January 17, at 7.30 pm.  Tickets are £5 and are available from the Merlin Theatre box office on 01437 753100. 'Go for Game' is a joint collaboration between the British Association for Shooting and Conservation, Pembrokeshire County Council and Pembrokeshire College. Glynn Cook, director of BASC Wales, said: "If you have never tasted game meat you need to know that it is healthy, very nutritious, low in fat and high in protein. Game is locally sourced and is becoming increasingly popular through promotion by television chefs and cookery books."
