A mini-heatwave that has seen most of Wales sizzle hotter than the Med has seen sun-lovers flock to the coast to pack out local beaches and enjoy the glorious unbroken sunshine of the past few days.

"The last four days, we've had highs of 22.0 to 23.7 degrees celsius, and the temperature hasn't dropped below 9.3 at night, with not a drop of rain in sight, of course," said Tenby resident and weather recorder, Trisha Putwain, on Tuesday.

"There was 8.4 hours of sunshine on Thursday, 13.7 on Friday, 14.6 on Saturday, and 15.1 on Sunday, and I expect it to have been just over 15 hours on Monday as well," she continued.

Experts have said, though, that temperatures were likely to drop ahead of the Bank Holiday weekend, with cloudy weather expected to come in along with some scattered showers.
