Sir,

With regard to the recent letter concerning memories of the Victoria Nurses Home, Park Street, Pembroke Dock, during the war I lived in Vibernum House, Victoria Road, Pembroke Dock.

I was nine and attended Albion Square Girls School, as it was then. One day when the air raid sirens sounded, we all filed out into the playground to the air raid shelter when a frightened Sealyham dog (which I believe belonged to the headmaster of the Coronation Boys School) came in and bit several of the girls.

My leg was the worst - a chunk out of the back of it (I still have the scar now). I was carried to the Victoria Nurses Home which was nearby, for treatment. So glad it was there.

Mrs. Mary Samuel,

Pembroke Dock.
