Two teenagers were rescued by Tenby's inshore lifeboat crew after getting stuck on a South Pembrokeshire beach. Following a 999 telephone call to the Operations Room at Milford Haven Coastguard Station at 11.20 pm last Thursday, May 24, the Tenby coastguard rescue team and the resort's RNLI inshore lifeboat were called to Glen Beach, Saundersfoot, to rescue the girls stranded on the beach and unable to leave the sands. The inshore craft managed to get into shore and plucked the two 17-year-old Saundersfoot girls from their watery surrounds. Tenby coastguard team ensured they were not injured when they were deposited on dry land at Saundersfoot harbour.
