THE deadlines are looming for Pembrokeshire Fish Week's annual photography and sculpture competitions.

The theme this year is 'Tidal', and the deadline is Wednesday, June 8.

The amateur photography competition once again has a junior category (11-18 years), as well as the adult category (18 years and over).

The junior category prize is a canvas of the winning photograph sponsored by Pembrokeshire Photography, and a £50 Amazon voucher, sponsored by Isla Negra.

The adult category prize is a case of wine (12 bottles) and a £50 Amazon voucher, sponsored by Isla Negra.

The judges are David Wilson, of David Wilson Photography, Ian Richards ABIPP, of Pembrokeshire Photography, and Barbara Simon, head of photography at Pembrokeshire College.

Entries must be submitted as a .jpg file at 300dpi on cd or emailed, and should be approximately A4 landscape or portrait. All entries need a title, state which category they are entering and be accompanied with the entrant's name and full contact details.

The sculpture competition challenges young sculptors to create figurative or abstract artworks, which must be portable, and no more than 1m x 1m in size.

The categories are 11 years and under (individual), 11 years and under (group) and 12 to 16 years.

Prizes are: 11 and under (individual entry) £25 voucher for Emrys Arts, Haverfordwest; 11 years and under (group entry) a workshop with Creative Café, Haverfordwest; 12-16 years (individual entry) £50 voucher for Emrys Arts.

The judges are Pip Lewis, of Space to Create, and Deb Docherty, art lecturer from Pembrokeshire College. Entries will be assessed on the criteria of material and artistic merit.

Sculptures must be taken to Oriel Y Parc, St. Davids, by June 8 for judging, and will be on display there during Fish Week. All entries must have a title, state which category they are entering and be accompanied with the entrant's name and full contact details.
