Amateur photographers are being urged to get snapping for Pembrokeshire Fish Week 2008's photography competition. There are two categories, each with a terrific prize - a FUJI camera and a day with Pembrokeshire Photography, of Haverfordwest. The theme of this year's competition is 'Shoreline' - be inspired by our beautiful Pembrokeshire coast! The prize for the first category (16 years and under) is a FUJI FinePix S5700 camera, worth £130 and described by Fuji as 'the ultimate camera for every occasion'. Entries should be supplied digitally via email, on CD or printed as a JPEG image. The prize for the second category (over 16 years) is a day in a professional studio with Pembrokeshire Photography, experiencing different techniques and processes - plus a canvas of your winning photograph. Entries must be supplied digitally only - via email, CD, or as a JPEG file (300 DPI). Images must be 8x10 inches, or A4, and they can be in colour or black and white. To submit your entry, contact Joanne Gale, assistant food officer, at Pembrokeshire County Council, 2A County Hall, Freeman's Way, Haverfordwest, or by emailing her at [email protected]">[email protected]). All entries must have a title, be clearly marked with the category (16 years and under, or over 16 years), with the photographer's name and full contact details. The closing date for entries is Monday, May 12. All entries will be judged by Ian Richards ABIPP, of Pembrokeshire Photography, and Barbara Simon, head of photography at Pembrokeshire College. Pembrokeshire County Council reserves the right to use the winning images in marketing and publicity material by Pembrokeshire County Council.
