In line with the Dyfed-Powys Police's commitment to road safety and casualty reduction, a motorcycling event open to all members of the public will be held at Police Headquarters, Llangunnor, Carmarthen, on Thursday, June 27.
Police motorcyclists and casualty reduction officers will be on hand to offer advice and guidance on all aspects of motorcycling, be it bike security, legality or riding techniques. The highlight for most visitors will be the opportunity for an observed ride on the public road with a police motorcyclists in tow. Constructive feedback will then be offered on the rider's ability and general riding demeanour.
With the long summer evenings upon us, the event will start at 3 pm and run until late, weather permitting. There is no need to book, just turn up on the day. There may be some queuing at busier times, so please be patient.
Further events are planned for the summer across the force area. Details can be found by contacting either PS Shane Davies or PC Andy Reed at Police Headquarters, Carmarthen, on (01267) 225354/363.
