Sir,

I am a Ph.D student at Swansea University. My research project is concerned with the relationship which developed between British citizens and German Prisoners of War both during and in the years immediately following World War Two.

Since many German POWs worked outside the camps at this time, particularly in agriculture, I would be interested to hear about any contacts made between them and members of the community.

I would also like to know of the observations made by individuals regarding the prisoners, no matter how trivial they may seem, as well as stories and rumours which circulated at the time. Of course, any photographs, diaries, letters etc. would be invaluable.

If you were a German POW in Britain I would also be interested to hear of your experiences.

Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Therefore, please contact me (at my expense) either by 'phone on Swansea 01792 405683 or by e-mail at [email protected]">[email protected].
