Top British golfer Lee Westwood, who recently came close to winning the Masters in Augusta, USA, has donated a signed shirt to South Pembrokeshire Golf Club.
The shirt actually arrived at the club via Mr. and Mrs. Ian Phillips, of Pembroke Dock, who became friends with Lee's parents when they themselves lived in the town.
Mr. and Mrs Westwood lived in Pembroke Dock for a several years, during which time they played a number of golf courses in the area, including the local South Pembrokeshire Golf Club.
Lee has now kindly sent the signed shirt to help raise funds for the club, which is currrently undergoing a refurbishment programme, being painted and decorated, as well as having new furniture installed.
"The club is very grateful to Lee for this generous gift and I would like to thank him on behalf of the members," said club manager Mick Seal.
