Sir, Through your letters page, I just wondered if any reader, gardener etc, perhaps with children would be interested, as my friend gave me a packet of sunflower seeds this year she didn’t particularly care for these flowers, where for I love my gardening, and set 15 of these seeds.

At the moment, most have grown some to the almighty height of 13 feet tall with a flower head full of seeds 10 inches wide.

They are enormous in my front garden. Just to say if anyone is interested, they can have some seeds, when flowering is over , late September/October - free for drying off, to plant for next year.
