As well as secondary schools throughout the county, other schools and educational establishments have also been celebrating top marks in their GCSE results this week. At Netherwood School, Saundersfoot, principal Mr. Huw Morris said: "We have had an excellent set of results, well up to our usual standard. "It is rather unusual here, as 31 per cent of our students were taking the exams through their second language, but despite this 40 per cent of all results were As or A*s, with 31 per cent gaining 11.5 GCSEs in one sitting" pointed out Mr. Morris. "Subject-wise, 10 of our departments had 100 per cent subject passes and they were in biology, business studies, chemistry, geography, German, history, PE, physics, religious studies and Chinese." added Mr. Morris, who extended a special thank you to all the staff for their hard work.
