There was a big surprise for the Steps2Health walkers on Saturday. They not only enjoyed a variety of tempting refreshments in a prize-winning garden, but were also serenaded with lively music amongst the impressive and beautiful floral displays (writes B.S.).

A local walk led by Margaret Lewis and Val Coates Rees culminated in a most sociable hour or so being spent in the garden of 13 Oakridge Acres which, once again, had been judged best garden visible from the road in the Tenby in Bloom competition.

The walkers much appreciated the generous hospitality of Val and Clive Church and were very impressed with the beautiful floral setting that provided such a lovely venue for this special get- together.

To complete the holiday atmosphere, we enjoyed the 'cabaret' provided by regular walker Mike Ewing, who displayed great musical talent on his melodeon and soon had us singing the well known songs.

Tomorrow (Saturday) we make an earlier start as the destination is West Angle Bay. The minibus (already fully booked!) leaves from outside Somerfield at 10 am. Drivers meet West Angle Bay at approximately 10.45 am.

For safety's sake, it is essential to wear appropriate clothing and stout footwear suitable for clifftop walking.
