Local runners from the St. Clears based TROTS club took part in a 5K race in the evening sun at the National Botanical Gardens on September 15. The event was organised by ex-TROT runner, Clive Edwards, now the finance manager of the gardens.
Malcolm Adams had a very good run, coming home in second place in 15:30, Adrian Varney also having a run and finishing in ninth position with a time of 21:25.
This event also had a children's race, with Adrian's son, Christopher, coming home in fourth position.
The event was really well organised, with the gravel paths being an excellent surface to run on, with no traffic, which delighted the runners.
Next year, the event should produce a greater number of runners.
