Last month, Jameston Community Association members and friends held a very successful garden village fete in the grounds of Green Grove, Jameston.

The afternoon enjoyed sunny weather and it all added to make a wonderful village atmosphere.

In the small marquee, afternoon strawberry teas were served. Outside on the lawn there was a chance to have a game of skittles, play the shuffle board or have a go on the coconut shy. The cake stall, bric-a-brac, tombola, book stall and many other attractions were very popular.

In the late afternoon, delicious burgers and hot dogs were on the menu.

The association would like to thank everyone who came along to support the event and a special thank you to Ray and Christine Hughes for holding the fete on their lawn.

Over £1,115 was raised towards the renovation of the Village Community Hall.
