Are you a Pembrokeshire business, residents' association or community group interested in how to be more efficient and save money? Well, you can start by saving energy. And the Pembrokeshire Energy Agency has found the people to help you.

There will be a free, half day seminar on 'funding for saving energy' in Haverfordwest, on Wednesday, October 2. It is aimed primarily at the business and public sectors but there will also be some information for the domestic sector.

Jackie Lawrence MP, and member of the DTI select committee, will launch the day. There will be a variety of speakers, from various funding and advisory agencies, including The Carbon Trust, Arena Network, The Energy Advice Centre and United Utilities as well as displays and information to take away.

There will also be an opportunity to focus on what people need in order to cut their energy bills as well as pollution, and to make suggestions on ways forward.

The programme will run from 9.30 until 1 pm with a sizeable coffee break for exchanging news. Please call (01239) 820078 to book a place, or check out the website for more information on saving energy: http://www.pembs-energy.org.uk">www.pembs-energy.org.uk

The Pembrokeshire Energy Agency has recently begun a work programme that aims to create greater local awareness of the issue of climate change and of the measures, such as improving energy efficiency and developing cleaner forms of energy generation, that can be undertaken to address the problem.

As part of this programme, supported by the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park's Environment Development Fund, they also visit local organisations to give free presentation on various aspects of the issue.
