Local community groups, social enterprises, and Town or Community Councils across Pembrokeshire are being invited to apply for grants of up to £3,500 to create or continue Warm Community Spaces this winter.

Last winter forty-three organisations received funding to successfully run community activities throughout the county.

The Pembrokeshire Community Warm Spaces Fund is managed by Pembrokeshire Association of Voluntary Services (PAVS) with support from Pembrokeshire County Council and Welsh Government, aims to help communities tackle disadvantage, loneliness, and social isolation, as well as improve mental and physical wellbeing during the Winter months.

Grants can cover revenue costs such as staffing, volunteer expenses, activities, food, refreshments, utility bills, and small items of equipment linked to the project. Applications are particularly encouraged from groups supporting vulnerable residents, including unpaid carers, older people, young people, and those living with disabilities or mental health issues.

Previous SCAF grant recipients are welcome to apply for continuation funding but must have returned all required monitoring forms.

The submission deadline for applications is Monday, September 1, and all funded projects must be completed and money spent by March 31, 2026.

All the successful Community Warm Space providers will also be invited to join the Keep Warm Keep Well in Pembrokeshire directory, which helps residents find welcoming venues across the county.
