Saundersfoot Cancer Research UK Cymru Committee were presented with a Certificate of Appreciation at their Olde Tyme Musical Hall event last Thursday.

The hard-working and enthusiastic committee have been organising fund-raising activities for the past 38 years, raising over £127,000 towards vital cancer research.

Mrs. Gloria Dugmore, chairman of the committee, received the certificate from Linda Strange, community fund-raiser, Cancer Research UK Cymru.

Linda paid tribute to the local committee members for their hard work and for the support of the people of Saundersfoot and surrounding areas.

The certificate has been achieved through organising events such as coffee mornings, luncheons, fun race evenings, raffles, fish and chip suppers, pancake days, country dancing evenings and local Bowls Club support.

Linda said: "It is so wonderful to have such a dedicated group of people in Saundersfoot, who give their time and energy to help support our work.

"Cancer Research UK Cymru is delighted to thank supporters in Saundersfoot for their generous and continued support of the local committee."
