The fund-raising work of a group of friends and neighbours in a Pembrokeshire village will directly help cancer sufferers in the county.

The Llanddewi Velfrey Fund-Raisers raised £1,750 for the Paul Sartori Foundation through a series of events, including a concert and coffee mornings.

Foundation trustee Joan Mathias said the charity greatly appreciated this support.

"If it wasn't for communities like this it would be very difficult for us to carry out our work,' she said.

"We have a wonderful team of nurses and carers and they are able to continue their good work here in Pembrokeshire thanks to donations like these."
