Putting money into bricks and mortar has always been considered a good investment and this theory was confirmed by the number of people who bought a brick to help with the refurbishment of Foundry House, the community centre which has recently been purchased by Pembroke 21C Community Association Ltd. A 'Buy a Brick' Campaign was launched at Foundry Fun Day; a day of fun activities for all the family which took place at Foundry House and on Pembroke Commons on Saturday. The Fun Day was officially opened by Mayor of Pembroke, Clr. Keith McNiffe, and Phil Thompson Chevron Pembroke Refinery launched the Buy a Brick Campaign. First in line to buy bricks were Nick Ainger MP and former Assembly Member Christine Gwyther, who helped Pembroke 21C in their fight to save Foundry House and purchase it for the community
