Saundersfoot Rotary Club held their Summer sandcastle competition last week - with another event planned for this Friday.
Taking place on Wednesday, August 16, it was a good day, dry with sunshine, and many children and families came along to Saundersfoot beach, with over twenty entries in total.
All participating children each received a prize and the winners of the competition were brother and sister, Johnny and Hannah.
Their mermaid sculpture was judged to be the best by the guest judge, randomly selected from the spectators. Hannah was part buried in the sand, as the mermaid, whilst Johnny sculpted the tail from sand.

All in all, a great day, fun for all, and enjoyed by the entrants, the onlookers and club members.
Saundersfoot Rotary’s next event is Friday, August 25 when they are holding another of their popular Pig Roast and BBQ from 12.30 pm on the Decking at Saundersfoot Harbour.
If the weather is fine, why not head to the Harbour, enjoy the sun, enjoy the views and enjoy a succulent pork roll or burger!
