The vehicles, which had assembled at the RAOB car park, left promptly at 1 pm for the parade through the village. Leading the parade of over 60 vehicles was Anthony Devall riding Les Cooper's 1923 Flat Tank Norton motorcycle, which was the oldest vehicle in the show.
Crowds were there on the field to browse around the many charity stalls, while youngsters could enjoy the entertainment provided for them, which included a fun fair and bouncy castle, the ever popular face painting and tattoos, the stocks, and Beastly Behaviour with live reptiles to hang around your neck (if you were brave enough).
The visitors to the sports field who were interested in the display of highly polished vehicles of all description from a bygone era could go and reminisce, and have a chat with the proud owners.
Plenty of refreshments were available, including a nice 'cuppa' and a piece of freshly baked cake from the Begelly/Kilgetty Environmental Tea Tent, served by the ladies looking resplendent in their red/white check outfits. The clubhouse was open for those who wanted something cooler!
The festivities continued into the evening with a 'Pig Roast' and the club disco was run this year by 'Running Bear' and 'Little White Dove', alias Ian and Dillwyn - and very nice they looked too!
The organisers would like to thank all who supported this event, including Wales Air Ambulance, Diabetic Association, Cystic Fibrosis, RNLI, Macmillan, Guide Dogs for the Blind, fund- raising stall for Withybush Chemo Unit, RAOB balloon race, Association book stall, Kilgetty WI, the Kilgetty girls football team, the Kilgetty junior football and cricket teams and Stepaside Playgroup.
On behalf of the Bull Dog Mile Committee, thanks have to go to the Kilgetty RAOB Club for their very generous donation of £200 to help towards the costs of the very collectable 'Bull Dog' coasters.
Finally, a big thank you to all the members of the sports club fun day committee, the marshals who directed the traffic, the Tenby Observer, Radio Pembrokeshire for their radio coverage of the event, all the sponsors too numerous to mention, and the locals and visitors who came along and had a 'Fantastic Fun Day at Kilgetty.'
All raffle prizes from both raffles have been claimed and Kingsmoor Sports Club would like to thank Total for their first prize donation of a TV in their raffle.
