It really was Full Length and Fabulous at the De Valence on Saturday night for the Save the Children and NSPCC Ball. The guests looked great and set the tone for the evening and enjoyed a great night of dining and dancing. The group providing the music came from Newport, Gwent, and were called ‘The Elastic Bands’ and kept the dance floor full from start to finish. The catering was provided by Mr. Ian Eynon, of Maenclochog.

As a result of the generosity of the sponsors and guests who bought tickets and supported the evening, the fantastic amount raised was in excess of £3,500. This sum was achieved through their participation in the auction - a cruise and picnic on a Cornish crabber down the Cleddau courtesy of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Armour, a family glamping holiday with Haven Holidays, and a cottage holiday for two at West Orielton Farm courtesy of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Simon, together with the raffle’s array of prizes and table musical chairs.

A huge thank you must go to the many sponsors of the event, without whom the monies raised would not have been possible. The two worthy charities will greatly appreciate the contribution from the night which was such a great success.

From both Save the Children and NSPCC committees - a very big thank you everyone for your support.
