AN exchange several years ago between Pembrokeshire and French schools led to a French student returning to the county to spend a month with the National Park Authority as part of her studies.

Jessica Moreau, who is studying tourism at a college at Blois, Val de Loire, worked with Park Authority staff for all of February. She was based in the Park's education section, but also spent time with different teams, including the Rangers, with partner organisations and at local visitor centres.

Twenty-year-old Jessica first came to Pembrokeshire in an exchange visit between her then school and Milford Haven Secondary School.

"All of us were accommodated with local families and I went to Mr. and Mrs. Clint Coombs and family in Woodbine Way, Hakin," said Jessica. "Since then I have been back to Milford on four other occasions, the last time in 2001."

Jessica very much enjoyed her latest stay in Pembrokeshire and used her language skills to help the Park Authority by translating a number of its publications.
