SpanJazz returns to the Plas Hyfryd Hotel, Narberth, next Thursday, May 19, with The Freewheelers providing an evening of pure entertainment, with flavours of Dixieland and Chicago-style music.
The Freewheelers, featuring Chris Ryan (reeds), Brian Jobson (keyboard), Steve Metcalf (guitar) and Clive Richards (bass guitar), will be joined by local trombonist Tudor Thomas and saxophonist, Den Wheeler.
This vintage band of seasoned musicians will bring the music of 1930s to 1960s to life with flair and style, playing a selection of jazz and popular standards from The Great American Songbook era.
Over the years, The Freewheelers have performed in virtually every Jazz Club from Bristol through South Wales to Pembrokeshire, including at various jazz festivals such as Brecon Jazz, Jazz in the Park and Aberjazz, Fishguard.
As well as drinks in a pleasant space with a great atmosphere, you can enjoy a delicious meal from 6 pm onwards, prepared by Plas Hyfryd’s chef (advance booking essential).
Tickets are available from the Span Arts box office on 01834 869 323 or online at spanarts.org.uk. Music starts at 8 pm. To book your meal, call Plas Hyfryd on 01834 869 006.
