Are you involved in organising events or festivals in your community? Would you like to be involved in organising events? Have you got an idea for an event and would like advice on how to go about it? Perhaps you would like to explore ways of adding value to your event or receive up-to-the-minute information on where and how to find funding? Would you like to meet other people organising events in Pembrokeshire and learn from their experience?

Then get involved with PLANED's new Events and Festivals training programme! This kicks off in February with a course of four evening sessions which take place once a week from 7-9 pm. These are free of charge and participants will be able to attend either at Haverfordwest on Tuesdays or at Narberth on Thursdays. At the end of the course there will be a celebration at St. Brides Hotel, Saundersfoot, where certificates will be awarded to all participants. PLANED's new Events and Festivals manual will be launched at this event and all participants will receive a free copy.

The sessions are as follows: Event planning and risk assessment (February 25 or 27); funding your event (March 4 or 6); promotion, publicity and writing press releases (March 11 or 13); and licensing - current procedures and new procedures (March 18 or 20).

For further information or to reserve a place, contact Helen or Liz Thomas (tel: 01834 860965).

This work is funded under PLANED's LEADER+ project.
