Anyone involved in the organising of community festivals and events is being offered free festival and event training. Organised by PLANED (Pembrokeshire Local Action Network for Enterprise and Development), with sessions on risk assessment, event planning, funding, licensing and publicity, the course will take place in a slightly amended form over two consecutive Saturdays in February. On Saturday, February 2, there will be a session on event planning starting at 1 pm and a session on risk assessment and funding starting at 3.15 pm, finishing approximately at 5.15 pm. On Saturday, February 9, there will be a session on licensing and a session on publicity, times as per Saturday, February 2. The course is free of charge and will take place in the Haverfordwest area. Each session is led by an expert in their field and participants receive a copy of PLANED's 'Organising Community Events and Festivals' manual. PLANED's support for festivals and events is funded through the EU LEADER+ programme which is part- funded by the Welsh Assembly Government, and Milford Haven Port Authority.
