The TAM (Theatrical Management Association) has launched its campaign to find enthusiastic members of the public to serve as regional panellists for the Barclays Theatre Awards.

As part of the judging process of the awards, around 140 panellists are appointed each year throughout the UK to assess productions that they would normally see as part of their regular theatregoing. The awards year runs from September 1, 2001, to August 31, 2002, and, during this time, panellists are asked to send in marks for productions they have seen. All successful applicants will receive a pair of complimentary tickets for each production they wish to see at the Torch Theatre, Milford Haven (one of the participating TMA theatres).

If you would like to apply to be a panellist, you will be required to write a 100-150 word review of a theatre production you have seen in the past six months.

If you are interested, and not professionally connected with the theatre industry, then please apply either by using one of the leaflets displayed in the Torch Theatre foyer during May and June or by sending an SAE to Barclays Theatre Awards Applications (M), TMA, 32 Rose Street, London WC2E 9ET.

The closing date for all applicants is July 6, 2001 and the final selection of applicants will take place during July and August.
