THE Theatrical Management Association (TMA) has launched its campaign to find enthusiastic members of the public to serve as regional panellists for the UK Theatre Awards.

As part of the judging process of the awards, around 140 panellists are appointed each year throughout the UK to assess productions that they would normally see as part of their regular theatregoing.

The awards year runs from 1 September 1 to August 31, 2004 and during this time panellists are asked to send in marks for productions they have seen.

All successful applicants will receive a pair of complimentary tickets for each local theatre production they wish to see.

If you would like to apply to be a panellist, you will be required to list all the productions you have seen in the last year, and write a 100-150 word review of one that you feel deserves an award.

If you are interested, and are not professionally connected with the theatre industry, then you can apply by either sending an SAE to Award Panel Applications (M), Awards Office, TMA, 32 Rose Street, London WC2E 9ET or by calling the TMA Theatre Awards hotline on 02075576777.

Alternatively, download the application form from the TMA website on http://www.tmauk.org">www.tmauk.org or e-mail your name and address to [email protected]">[email protected]

Closing date for applications is July 11. Panellists will be selected during July and August.
