The charging period for seasonal car parks has ended and that there is now free parking at North Beach, South Beach, The Green and the upper floors of the multi-storey car park in Upper Park Road, Tenby.

Pembrokeshire County Council has reminded motorists that they must still comply with the parking terms and conditions as advertised on signs. Charges still apply on the ground floor of the multi-storey where short stay parking is available for a maximum of two hours.

Blue badge holders may park free and stay for up to three hours. Signs will be provided at the multi-storey car park to advise of the free parking. In other car parks, Pay and Display machines have been covered over, while the town's Salterns car park is closed over the winter period.

Tenby South County Councillor Mike Evans told the Observer that there was now no excuse for local motorists to park illegally and receive a parking ticket and subsequent fine. "Make the most of the free facilities" he urged.
