FOUR Pembrokeshire residents have undertaken vows of British citizenship. The ceremony in County Hall, Haverfordwest, coincided with St. David's Day and to add to the atmosphere, pupils form Wolfscastle School, dressed in traditional Welsh costume, contributed musical items. The four residents taking part were: George Zoogah (formerly of Ghana), now of Haverfordwest; Dr. Mac Walapu (Malawi), Saundersfoot; Dal Pariyar (Nepal), St. David's and Joanne James (Germany) Haverfordwest. The ceremony was led by Barbara Eynon, superintendent registrar for the registration district of Pembrokeshire. The new British citizens swore an oath to the Sovereign and pledged to be loyal citizens before standing for the Welsh and English national anthems. They then signed a register and were presented with the citizenship certificate and a pack containing a passport application. The four were given a warm Pembrokeshire welcome to their new status by county councillor Peter Stock, cabinet member for communities. "For all of you to chose to live in Pembrokeshire is an honour for our county," he told them.
