A Pembrokeshire guest house once labelled ‘The best boutique B&B in South West Wales’ is celebrating after winning four awards in four years.

Ty Melin B&B located in the village of Cosheston, recently scooped the ‘Croeso Award’ for the best B&B/Guest House in the county from Pembrokeshire Tourism.

The roll of awards started back in 2019 when the B&B was awarded the SME Enterprise award for The Most Exclusive B&B inPembrokeshire.

The accolades continued the following year when at the The Resorts and Retreats Awards by LUX magazine, the guest house won for The Best Boutique Luxury B&B in South-West Wales.

In 2021, Ty Melin which is situated opposite the Brewery Inn, won its most prestigious award to date, when it was selected by HotelsCombined (owned by KAYAK), to receive the official Recognition of Excellence Award 2021.

This award was based on an analysis of over 100 reviews on Booking.com, with the awards stating: ‘Ty Melin has consistently produced a high satisfaction rating among guests and travel industry experts. Ty Melin now joins an elite group of hotels around the world that have been awarded the HotelsCombined Recognition of Excellence’.

On the recent ‘Croeso Award’ - Gareth Mills who runs the B&B with his wife Tina, said: “We are particularly proud of this award as it is awarded by Pembrokeshire tourism - the local agency that promotes tourism.

“We couldn’t have done it without the support of all the lovely guests we have welcomed to our home.

“The main criteria for judging properties was the feedback, locally and on national sites like Tripadvisor and Booking.com. Thus, it is all about customer satisfaction.

“It was judged by four independent travel consultants from around Britain. To be recognised for our excellence by the local agents is particularly satisfying!” he continued.

“In 2023 we are looking ahead to welcoming more visitors to our B&B in Cosheston, and we are conscious that our village provides the excellent setting for people to visit Pembrokeshire and stay in a warm, friendly environment away from the hustle and bustle of other more frequently visited tourist spots, yet makes everywhere in Pembrokeshire easily accessible.”
