A former coxswain of Tenby Lifeboat was airlifted to hospital on Monday after an accident at the resort's Harbour.
xSeventy-year-oldJosh Richards fell from an inflatable tender into the sea at approximately 5.30 pm.
Josh, of 69 The Glebe, was with Paul and Gill Richards, of Feckenham, the owners of former fishing vessel, 'The Doodle', which he looks after, when the accident occurred.
All three had been on board 'The Doodle' and were about to return to the shore, when Josh slipped into the water.
He was pulled back into the craft by Mr. and Mrs.Richards and was taken to the nearby Mayor's Slip.
Members of Tenby RNLI attended to Josh prior to the arrival of the emergency services.
Paramedics treated Josh for hypothermia, before he was assisted by coastguards into the air ambulance, which had landed on the Harbour Beach.
He was then flown to Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest where he was kept in overnight as a precaution.
