The former chairman of Carmarthenshire County Council has handed over a cheque for more than £4,000 to the NSPCC. Clr. Roy Llewellyn, of Login, Whitland, who was last year's chairman, raised £16,620.47 for the chairman's charities during his time in office, He has presented a cheque for £4,170.47 at the Carmarthen office of the NSPCC. Clr. Llewellyn will also donate £8,300 to the Oncology Unit at the West Wales General Hospital in Glangwili and £4,150 to MENCAP in Llanelli.
