A well-used footpath in Pembroke Dock has been named after the late Carolyn Fortune, a very popular and much-loved local councillor.
The lane located between Bellevue Terrace and Treowen Road provides a very popular link between the Pennar and Bufferland area, and is also used by a large number of parents who use it for the school run.
Clr. Fortune fought hard over a number of years to get the telegraph pole which was sited in the middle of the path removed and the path resurfaced, for the path to be useable for all members of the community.
Pembroke Dock Mayor Maureen Colgan was on hand to officially unveil the new sign for ‘Carolyn’s Way’ along with Clr. Fortune’s two sons Jim and Ross.
