Over 300 pupils from schools across the county took part in the recent Pembrokeshire Primary Schools Mixed Football Festival Shield.

Organised by Sport Pembrokeshire - the sports development arm of Pembrokeshire County Council - and hosted by Haverfordwest County AFC at their ground in Bridge Meadow, youngsters from 31 schools battled it out for two trophies.

Pupils from Ysgol Glan Cleddau in Haverfordwest won the large schools competition, while St. Teilo's in Tenby won the small schools trophy.

Both teams will now represent Pembrokeshire in the Football League Community Cup to be played in Swansea on March 26.

This is the second year running St. Teilo's has qualified, with last year's side going on to win the competition and representing Swansea City in the finals at Leyton Orient.

With several of that squad still playing, they are determined to give it their best shot to try and repeat last year's amazing success.

Referees for the festival at Haverfordwest AFC were provided by Pembrokeshire College's Football Academy.
