A fishy lunch date with top chef Will Holland is on the menu for Narberth Food Festival.
He will be using the finest Pembrokeshire seafood to cook some of his favourite dishes from the menu at Saundersfoot’s Coast restaurant, which has been acclaimed by the AA as its Welsh Restaurant of the Year..
Will - who recently won the title of UK Restaurant Chef of the Year - will be in the weekend festival’s Food Theatre on Saturday, September 24.
He said: “I’m really looking forward to returning to the Narberth Food Festival this year.
“It’s a brilliant day out, and always so nice to demonstrate in front of such a receptive and keen audience. It is a real foodies festival.
“I used to be heavily involved in Ludlow Food Festival and it’s lovely to be appearing at Narberth Food Festival with the twinning links between Narberth and Ludlow.”
The festival, in and around a massive marquee on Narberth’s Town Moor, will also welcoming its patron Angela Gray, who will be hosting a spice rub master class on the Sunday lunchtime as well as giving demonstrations.
She is looking forward to giving festival-goers a taste of her new book, Angela Gray’s Cookery School - Winter Recipes, and will have copies at the event to sell and sign.
Also spicing it up in the Food Theatre will be Indian cookery expert Anjula Devi.
She’s very excited to be working with top kitchenware retailer Lakeland on a new range which is just about to be unveiled to customers.
“Angela Gray has told me how good the festival is, and I’m really excited to come to Narberth,” said Anjula, who is passionate about creating quick, healthy Indian food for all the family.
Festival favourite Ludovic Dieumegard from The Harbourmaster, Aberaeron, will also be giving demonstrations.
Ludo, a former Professional Masterchef semi-finalist, is always a great hit with the festival crowds - and particularly so last year when he brought along his little daughter, Ella, as his kitchen assistant.
Narberth Food Festival takes place on Saturday, September 24, and Sunday, September 25, and also features over 50 stalls, live music stage, street food and children’s activities.
