A big thanks went to all who braved wintry conditions on Sunday morning to take part in the Narberth and Whitland Rotary organised ‘Santa Fun Run’ at Whitland to help raise nearly £1,200 for the Whitland Food Bank.

Santa and his sleigh (courtesy of Narberth and Whitland Round Table) also made a special visit to the event which started at the bowling club at Parc Dr Owen at 10.30 am.

Mulled wine and a mince pies were on offer afterwards to the participants.

Event co-ordinator Ken Morgan said the event was a fantastic example of ‘community teamwork’. “My thanks to everyone who helped in this great adventure to raise funds for the Whitland Food Bank,” he remarked.

‘Thanks to everyone who took part. What a great time everyone had despite icy conditions. Lots of fun and laughter - as a community event should be,” said Rotarian Mary Adams.
