The end of summer term saw the retirement of three longstanding colleagues of Dyffryn Taf School, Whitland.

Mrs. Ann Rees Phillips, a teacher of Welsh and head of lower school, retired after 25 years at the school.

Mr. Christopher Skone, a physical education, lifeskills and careers teacher, as well as head of middle school, retired after a career spanning 37 years. He originally taught at Griffith Jones, St. Clears, before the establishment of Dyffryn Taf.

Mrs. Meinir Eynon has taught within the community for 39 years, at Whitland Grammar School and then at Dyffryn Taf. She successfully led the design technology team over the years and developed a number of students who have excelled in the fashion industry.

Everyone at the North Road school wishes them a long and happy retirement.
