AT the end of the month, the Post Office and Mini Market at New Hedges will have seen the retirement of five of its long-standing staff members, in the last few months.

Sheila Harries retired in June 2011, Anne Pugh retired last month, Sue Keiss is retiring on March 21, Jean Smiddy on March 28 and Christine Kirkby on March 30.

Between these stalwart staff, they will have worked for over 65 years at the shop.

"It is with a heavy heart that we say 'goodbye', but we wish them all a long, healthy and happy retirement," said director Ruth Goldwait.
