Fond farewells were given by Pembrokeshire National Park planning officers and committee members, as their colleague, Mrs. Jane Heard, chaired her last meeting of the authority's development management committee on Wednesday morning. Mrs. Heard, who has occupied the chair for three-and-a-half-years, thanked members for their kind support and hard work, and said that their efforts had been greatly appreciated. "Jane has been a formidable chairperson, and has shown strong, but fair views, but also a delightful sense of humour, which has put a human face on the committee," said vice-chair, Mr. Richard Howells. "She will be very difficult to replace."
