LOCAL Portuguese waiter and golfing showman Claudio bade a fond farewell to Tenby this week, as he goes full-time with his one man 'Master of the Golf Ball' show.

Claudio, who last year entered the Guinness Book of Records for the second time by breaking the record for bouncing one golf ball between two clubs, is moving to Lancashire and hopes he will have more opportunities to perform his shows across Britain and Europe.

"I will be going full-time with the golf show in England, but will keep up to date with what's going on in Tenby by still receiving the Observer, so Jack and Emma I will still be watching," joked Claudio.

"I wish to thank everyone at Tenby Golf Club, Ian Thomas from the Junior organisation and everyone who has been involved or supported me over my many happy years in Tenby, including all at the Observer."

The former golf caddie and ardent children's charities fund-raiser said on his farewell he would definitely be popping back.

"I'm sad to be leaving such a wonderful place and people, but I'm sure I will be back and hope to entertain everyone again in Tenby some day.'
