TENBY Town Council bade a fond farewell to their financial officer/clerk, Miss Nicola Williams, on Tuesday night.
Miss Williams had been employed by the council for over 14 years, and had been financial officer/clerk for the past 18 months.
However, Tuesday night's meeting was her last, as she had resigned from her post for pastures new.
Mayor of Tenby, Clr. Mrs. Christine Brown, felt that it was a sad occasion and thanked Miss Williams for her time with the council.
"It has been a joy working with you," she said.
Clr. Mickey Folland agreed.
"I remember appointing Nicola over 14 years ago and I'm delighted to say we made the right choice," he said.
"Nothing was too much trouble for her and whenever we had a question, Nicola was always there with the answer straightaway.
"May I extend a great big thank you for your dedicated service. It has been very much appreciated by all past and present councillors and we wish you well in the future."
His views were echoed by Clr. Trevor Hallett.
"Nicola will take some following," he commented. "There was very little time lost in council business because when Nicola said she would do something it was done."
