ONE of the most familiar solicitors in Pembrokeshire is retiring from legal duties.

Magistrates and court officials bade a fond farewell to Mr. Peter Williams prior to the start of Tuesday's court in Tenby.

Senior magistrate, Anthony Bowen acknowledged Mr. Williams's contribution to the legal profession and said he was one of the 'great characters' of the courts in Pembrokeshire.

"You have provided a great service to the court and have always acted in a very professional way," said Mr. Bowen, who wished him a happy retirement.
