Staff at Folly Farm in Begelly are happy to report a highly successful summer season, with record-breaking visitor numbers and extremely positive guest feedback. Said director, Chris Ebsworth: "It's been the best season we've ever had, with record attendance over and above our expectations. "There's been a strong tourist season in Pembrokeshire in general this year, and in addition to this there have been a number of new improvements to Folly Farm that have attracted more people, such as the big wheel, other rides and a number of new animals in the zoo, as well as an improvement in all guest facilities." Folly Farm's resident clown, Chunky Russell, also reports a fantastic summer, stating: "It's been extremely busy - I've entertained thousands of children this summer, and made over 30,000 balloon animals! I'm already working on a new show for Christmas." Luke and Lucy Jugglestruck, stars of Folly Farm's summer theatre show, are also very positive about their summer at the farm. Said Luke: "It's been brilliant! The audiences this year have been incredibly responsive, the nicest audiences you could possibly imagine. We're looking forward to returning for October half term." Chris is confident that these high visitor numbers will continue into October and the winter - this being Folly Farm's third winter season. Staff are already working on a new programme of events and facilities to be introduced next spring. Chris added: "A really big thankyou to all the staff for working so hard to get everything together, and for their enthusiasm and courtesy towards the guests - the credit for a great summer should really go to them."
