Manorbier and District Community Arts is once again delighted to announce its annual 'High Tide' procession to Manorbier Beach next Saturday, July 30, at 1 pm. Children and families from Manorbier and surrounding districts have been working with professional sculptor, Chris Elliott, making a huge flock of weird and wonderful sheep from chicken wire, straw, tissue paper and fabric. Chris worked with all pupils at Manorbier Primary School and has been running drop-in workshops in the Castle Park, Manorbier, where you can see the whole flock grazing. From Monday to Friday, Chris is running a summer camp sheep workshop for children seven-plus. Spaces are limited and booking essential. Everyone is invited to go and join in the procession or line the streets and watch the amazing flock being herded down to the beach, followed by refreshments and games such as 'tug-of-wool!' Also next Saturday, there is a finale evening with Ceilidh Dance with Redwing at 7 pm at Manorbier Community Centre. Tickets are available from Angela Rogers, secretary of MADCAP on (01834) 871931, or available on the door. There will be a licenced bar and food available.
